Our Funeral Director & Embalmer
Gretchen L. Kell was born in Clinton County, Ohio and graduated in 2003 at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has a bachelor's degree in mortuary science and is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer of the state of Ohio. Gretchen is also a member of the Ohio Embalmers Association.
Mobile Embalming
Do you have your own prep room and want embalming done at your location? NO PROBLEM! We will have one of our professional embalmers come to your Funeral Home, embalm in your prep room, using your fluids and supplies. (with-in 30 miles of Jamestown, OH) Normal Embalming: $200.00

Embalming At Our Embalming Center
We furnish preproom, fluids. Removal and Transport to your Funeral Home at an extra fee. Please call for price.
Our Embalming prices are not negotiable. Our Embalmers have graduated in the top of their class. They are worth their time for labor.

Restorative Arts
We take special care to details that some embalmers do not do. Our embalmer will call you and explain if there is head trauma and what they can do to help. We will not do Restorative work unless you want it.
Restorative Arts: $75.00 per hour

The answer is why have an embalmer or licensed funeral director on staff who is most likely off nights and Holidays and you, the owner, is on call. As the employer, you also pay workers compensation, vacation and costly insurance rates and possibly that staff person does not appreciate the benifets you furnish. In other words, to have a licensed Funeral Director and /or Embalmer starting salary for this area is somewhere in the area of $35,000 to $40,000 per year plus benefits.
At Storer Mortuary Transport we charge $350 for a Dayton Removal, Embalming and Delivery to a local Funeral Home- 24 Hours per day / 365 days per year!
With the total figures listed above we can make 100 removals, embalmings and deliveries to your Funeral Home for the total price of $35,000!

So many "professionals of the trade" are an embarrassment in hygiene and appearance to the funeral industry. We require all male staff members to keep beards and mustache neatly trimmed.
