About The Owners



Michael A. Storer 
Owner- 

Michael is owner of Storer Mortuary Transport. Born in Jamestown, Ohio and raised in Sabina, Ohio. As a young lad he always had a desire to work in the funeral business. Michael attended West Virginia Training School and Bible College in Point Pleasant, W Va. He has worked at Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina, Ohio and at Smith Funeral Homes in Wilmington, Ohio. Michael is married to Gretchen Kell and both reside in Jamestown, Ohio.  








Gretchen L. Kell
Embalmer / Funeral Director-

Gretchen is Michael's wife. She was raised in Wilmington, Ohio and at a young age wanted to be a Funeral Director. Gretchen graduated in 2003 from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has a bachelor's degree in mortuary science and is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer of the State of Ohio. Gretchen provides embalming services for the company.

Our Removal Staff

























Our removal staff are trained in the funeral field to make proper removals. They are always in shirt and tie giving complete attention to the family and funeral home in which they represent. We allow famlies all the time needed with their loved one before the removal.  





Mr. Duane Harper,
Manager -

Duane is the Manager for Storer Mortuary Transport. Duane resides in Jeffersonville, Ohio along with his wife Tina. The Harper's attend The Waterloo Church of Christ in Christian Union where Duane's sister Rev.Joy Stanforth is pastor. Mr. Harper retired from Prime Outlet Mall and has been in the funeral business for 10 years. He has worked for Gerstner-Kinzer Funeral Home and has also worked for Summers Funeral Home in Washington, C.H., Ohio. We are happy to have Duane on our team.   








Mr. Don Storer,
Removal Technician - 

Don is the brother of Michael Storer. He resides just outside of Washington C.H., Ohio. Don works full time for Time Warner Cable Company. Don enjoys playing golf and watching the "San Diego Chargers". We are very happy to have him on our staff to serve on our local runs.  












Ms. Melissa Stevens
Removal Technician - 

Melissa resides in Wilmington, Ohio with her three cats. She is an Ohio State Certified Residential Appraiser. She is currently finishing up an associates of science degree, after which she plans on obtaining her bachelor’s degree in mortuary science from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. When not working or in school, she enjoys spending as much time as possible with her amazing family and friends, for which she feels blessed every day. We are very happy to have Melissa on our team.

    Our goal is to make the families first encounter with your funeral home a positive one. Storer Mortuary Transport is a Professional Removal Service Company that begins its business relationship with all Funeral Homes served by first meeting with you to as certain your Home's customs and traditions.

    During the removal process:

    1. Your home for funerals will always be represented in your name.
    2. We do not identify ourselves as a removal service "Trade Service" but as funeral home representatives, unless specifically told to.
    3. All removals are made with the utmost Dignity and respect.
    4. All personnel are dressed in a shirt and tie with suit coats being worn when coming in contact with family members.
    5. Every deceased remains is either wrapped in a clean sheet or placed in a non-reusable disaster pouch/body bag.


    Every removal, regardless of location, is carried out as if the family were present. 
    Storer Mortuary Transport is not to be looked on as a "trade service", but as an extension of your own staff. At all times we represent you in your name when coming in contact with family members or nursing staff. 

    We take time to show compassion to all present family members of the decedent and give special attention to our actions and comments on each call.
